This corporation is a nonprofit Public Benefit corporation and is not organized for the private gain of any person. It is organized under the Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation Law for public and charitable purposes.

 

The specific purpose of the corporation is to provide affordable housing. The corporation  is concerned with the well-being of those less fortunate and will identify means and provisions for shelter and safe harbor by: (1) providing affordable housing and related services for low-income and moderate-income persons who are in need of affordable, decent, safe and sanitary housing and related services where an inadequate supply of housing exists for such persons; (2) providing descent safe and sanitary housing for low-income and moderate-income persons, or for low-income and moderate-income persons who are homeless or in imminent danger of homelessness, or who are displaced from urban renewal areas, or as a result of governmental action or a major disaster where insufficient housing exists for such groups; (3) assisting low-income and moderate-income households by enabling them to secure the basic human need of decent shelter; (4) assisting low-income and moderate-income households by providing or facilitating social, educational and other services that improve their quality of life or self-sufficiency and (5) serving as a general partner in limited partnerships which own and operate housing for the benefit of low-income persons who are in need of affordable, descent, safe and sanitary housing and related services.
